I would certainly agree with your assessment, David. I was already using Evernote on my iPhone, so it was one of the first apps that I installed on the iPad.

Hi Joel,

Interesting to read your thoughts. I’ve been using one for a few months now.
Biggest pluses I can see are the fact it is instant on, and very long battery life.
If you are traveling it is excellent on a plane.

In essence it seems to be more a content consumption device rather than a content creation device. One exception is Evernote which has a specifically designed version to take advantage of the screen real estate.

I use mine mostly for note taking during meetings or showing pictures of concepts.

It is also a glorified Kindle. Why buy the $500 Kindle when you can have an iPad that does a dozen more things as well, and has App access.
